meet Your Instructor
Ela Thier has written, directed, performed in, edited, and produced, numerous award-winning films. Her new feature, co-starring Oscar-winner J.K. Simmons, Tony-winner Nina Arianda, Jake Ryan, and Olivia Simmons, will be released later this year. She’s currently in development on numerous feature films with major attachments.
She began by making no-money shorts, and she still makes those because… you’re never too far along to be having fun.
Speaking of fun, she founded The Independent Film School in 2006, and has guided thousands of artists ever since.
